About Ncpsl national Council For Promotion Of Sindhi Language
National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL) was established as an autonomous registered body under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), Government of India. Registered under the Societies Registration Act in 1860 on 26th May 1994 under registration no. 1085 (Vadodara) Gujarat. The headquarter of the council is in New Delhi.
The year 2014 witnessed change in Central Government. In order to constitute the 16th Lok Sabha, elections were held in April-May, 2017, in which NDA (National Democratic Alliance) Government was elected in the Centre. Shri Narendra Modi was sworn in the Prime Minister on 26th May 2014. Smt. Smriti Z. Irani was appointed Minster of Human Resource Development and Chairperson of NCPSL. Presently Shri Prakash Javadekar is the Union Minister of Human Resource Development w.e.f. 05.07.2016 & Chairman of NCPSL Prof. Aruna Jethwani, former Principal, St. Mira College for Girls, Pune and a well known scholar was appointed Vice-Chairperson of the Council.
