Q1. Why do 2 Crore Candidates apply for 1 Lakh Indian railway jobs?
Ans: The answer lies in the poverty that these 2 crore educated candidates have faced in their childhood.
In India the Government is the only sure job capable of taking a person from a poor or lower middle class background into the definitive middle class.
Most of the 2 crore candidates come from economically backward conditions who have degrees like BCom, BA and BSc which are run of the mill and not capable of giving their holders jobs with as much salary as a railway job.
If a person gets Rs 40000/- per month in a government job versus Rs. 40000/- in a private sector job then that person will surely choose a government job because of its safety, security and mental peace.
On the other hand when a BA graduate who is a graduate only on paper gets offered Rs. 5,000/- per month in the private sector and sees an opportunity to make Rs. 25000/- in starting salary in a government job guess what he will choose.
This analysis of mine flows from the demand - supply and skill gap that is plaguing our country.
We are led to believe that becoming a Doctor, Engineer, Lawyer or other such professional will mean a lifetime of happiness. However not everyone gets in through the tough medical entrance exam. Engineers except ones from top institutes are earning as much as BSc graduates. Lawyers in big law firms earn crores while the majority of lawyers struggle to get by.
Similarly trade skills are taken up only by those who dont have a choice to get a college degree.
But India has big campuses of IT and technology companies which pay handsomely but ask you to work relentlessly and sacrifice work life balance. These same companies then complain they cannot get the right candidates to do highly demanding jobs. That is because candidates capable of doing highly demanding jobs have mostly taken up jobs in banks or finance or other fields which are less cumbersome than operations because they dont want to subject themselves to the work pressure.
Today you have engineers doing worker level jobs in factories because of the demand - supply gap in India.
Unless we admit there is a problem and that not everyone can become a white collar worker and some will have to make their careers in the blue collar fields we will not solve this dilemma.
Q2. Are the Indian Railways jobs good jobs or bad?
Ans: Indian railways jobs are definitely challenging and tougher as compared to other government jobs. You have to work hard and mostly 24x7 duty that to strenuous one. Out side people may not be able to appreciate the hard work n effort done by railway man. You become one of the member of large railway family. Family would have good time, children will be getting good education. So overall its not only good job but one of the Best in government.
Q3. What is your review of Indian Railway Jobs (RRBs)?
Ans: Its depend on what your job post is..
Lets take a example, here is two je one is working in workshop or diesel shed and another is working at signal or track mc department or trd or trs. Life at workshop for sse and je is balanced but in open line work like trs trd, track mc then your life balance become little bit hard.
But review of jobs also depend on your grade or post in which post u become employees of railway.

10.Now other vigilance and other officers are there to coopertae them and monitor them.
Q8. Is ITI Certificate mandatory for Indian Railway jobs? Is it compulsory or not?
Ans: 1.If u have ITI degree than it is beneficial to qualify in technical cadre such as Technician , Loco Pilot etc.
2. If you have not a ITI degree than RRB NTPC Jobs under Gr-C (After 12th class), is suitable for you .

Ans: Posts in rlys are classified, as per classification in Govt of india, as Group(not grade) A,B,C,D.

Gr D : All unskilled staff like peons, khalasi, pointsmen , safai wala etc.
After the 7th psu commission , Gr D has been abolished and merged with Gr C.
Q10. What are some suitable Indian Railways jobs for someone with a BA?
Ans: A graduate has good opportunities in Railways. You can be eligible for all non technical cadre like Station Master, Guard, Clerks etc.
