Sainik School Purulia is one of the 31 Sainik Schools in the country and one of the prestigious English medium residential public schools in the state of West Bengal. It was established in the year 1962 under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence for the removal of regional imbalances in the officer‘s cadres of Defence Services in India.
