Eligibility conditions for appointment on deputation (including short-term contract) basis: Officers of Central Government or State Governments or Union Territory or Autonomous bodies or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory Organizations or Universities or Semi-Government Organisations:-
a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis; or
(ii) with two years regular service in posts in the Pay Band -2(Rs 9300- 34800/-),Grade Pay of Rs4800/-•, and
(iii) with three years regular service in posts in the Pay Band -2(Rs 9300- 34800/-),Grade Pay of Rs4600/-; and
(iv) with eight years regular service in posts in the Pay Band -2(Rs.
9300- 34800/-),Grade Pay of Rs4200/-; and
b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience: Essential:
(i) Master's Degree in Entomology or Plant Pathology or Bio-Chemistry from a recognised University; or Master's Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology or Plant Pathology or Bio-Chemistry from a recognised University; or Master's Degree in Zoology or Botany or Chemistry from a recognised University; and
(ii) Five years' experience in teaching or research or extension Work, including aspects related to storage and preservation of foodgrains
Duties of Assistant Director (S&R): The duties of the Assistant Directors (S&R) are inspections of Food Storage Depots, Procurement Centres, Railhead, Fair Price Shops and Rice Mills He/She initiates spadework concerning complaints from concerned State Governments, rice millers and consumers, settles disputes between the State Governments and Food Corporation of India at the time of taking delivery of food grains stocks from FSDs and supervises the work of Technical Officers (S&R)
Place of posting: The place of posting will be S&R Division, Department of Food And Public Distribution but liable to be posted anywhere in India.
(At present the post of ADS are vacant at QCCS of Delhi, Bhopal, Bhuwaneswar, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow & IGMRIs of I-lapur, Hyderabad, Ludhiana)
Age Limit: The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications
