Jhansi Cantonment Board (JCB) is an autonomous body under Govt of India, Ministry of Defence. It is a Category-II Cantonment divided in 7 wards. JCB is having 14 members including Ex-officio President Cantonment Board (PCB), 7 Members elected by the general public of 7 wards, 2 Ex-officio members, 2 members nominated by the PCB, one member nominated by the District Magistrate and Chief Executive Officer as Member-Secretary.

Jhansi Cantonment Board is situated in the historic city of Jhansi lies in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. The Cantonment Board was established in the year 1842 and is one of the oldest Cantonments of the country. As per 2011 census, total population of Jhansi Cantonment is 28343.

Jhansi Cantonment Board is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Cantonment Board for providing amenities such as Health, Sanitation, Education, Water Supply, and various types of civic services to the resident of Jhansi Cantonment. JCB is continously progressing towards conversion of Jhansi Cantonment into Smart Cantonment. JCB has installed iron grills on boundary walls of parks, food court and other compound walls of Cantt Fund Buildings. All the roads placed under the management of Cantonment Board are in very good condition. Proper road marking with thermo-plastic paint, provision of cat-eye, speed breakers, delineators and road safety devices has been provided. For traffic management requisite road dividers have been made. Routine repairing and maintenance of roads is being carried out. Proper footpath is provided along the road side.
