The Role ResponsibilitiesJob SummaryThe ERM Reporting Team is actively engaged in the generation of risk reports covering key metrics across the Financial and Non-Financial risk types for the Group, thereby providing timely information for effective risk management and complying with the regulatory requirements This role pertaining to Conduct Risk, Compliance Risk, Equity Aggregation and NFR Risk Appetite Reporting - would require active involvement as an individual as well as a people manager Compliance Risk ReportingGroup Compliance Reporting
- Preparation of monthly dashboards for Compliance Regulatory Risk Committee, Compliance Management Team, Business and Regions Compliance
- Weekly dashboards for Corporate and Institutional Banking Compliance Management Team
- Monthly, Quarterly and Bi-Annual report with analysis on Gift and Entertainment activities registered in the G&E register.
Conduct Risk
- Onboard any new reporting requests to the Risk and CFCC COO team in GBS
- Collation and Preparation source data that feeds into Conduct Risk Dashboards
- Familiarity of concepts and criteria applied in the dashboard to ensure accuracy before the reports are published
- Communicate effectively with end users and stakeholders for any initiatives and take it to closure
- Manage trainings and query resolution regarding the dashboards.
- Complete the relevant testing, highlight gaps end ensure closure of open items before any change implementation
- Provide necessary MI based on business requests
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly dashboards for Compliance Regulatory Risk Committee oversight group, SCB Board Committee members, Non-executive directors on the progress of Speaking Up program in terms of the program awareness and confidence among SCB staff to speak up
- Provide inputs to the Annual Reports
The unit will also engage with the Group in terms of completing the assigned activities to meet the defined timelines for BCBS Compliance including Data Quality checks.
The team is actively involved in creating dashboards for automated report generation based on multiple data sources without any control lapses Equity Aggregation Reporting and NFR Risk Appetite ReportingPerform aggregation of data pertaining to shareholdings across various countries for the purpose of regulatory submissions relating to the holdings as well as Non-Financial Risk Appetite Reporting The candidate is expected to
- Have a good understanding of products traded in various stock exchanges
- Provide leadership and guidance on the aggregation of equity position across the Group's business entities
- Define problem statement and design and enhance equity aggregation model and system.
- Partner with Technology Teams to deliver the solution for equity aggregation
- Engage with Country Compliance from the relevant countries
- Ensure the Group Equity Aggregation Standard is kept up to date
- Supervise day to day equity aggregation work and ensure that the Group's Equity positions are aggregated accurately based on the equity aggregation rules of various countries
- Have a strong understanding of the concepts around Risk Appetite monitoring and Reporting.
- Work with large data sets to consolidate and analyse trends
- Deliver on short terms goals without deviating from strategic roadmaps
Our Ideal Candidate
- Post-graduates / Professional qualification with 13 years of experience in Risk domain
- Risk Certifications from established institutions is recommended
- Candidates with certifications and hands on experience related to Operational Risk / Compliance Risk / Conduct Risk will be preferred
- Any technical Certification and hands-on experience in MS Office Advanced tools / SQL / Tableau / Python will be preferred
General Skill Set
- A good understanding of Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, Conduct Risk and Risk Appetite.
- Good people management skills to manage teams working out of Chennai and Bangalore
- Ability to work on as well as lead the report generation process based on large data sets
- Incorporate controls in the processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Awareness of trading environment, market moves and potential impact on exposures
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - verbal and written.
- Be a self-starter with an ability to work in a global team
- Be able to implement strategic ideas and enhance productivity and efficiency levels
- A good understanding of BCBS requirements
- Ability to track things to closure as a team
