21903BRRequisition Number:21903BR Description:Primary Purpose of Job: Contribute to the ongoing growth of STANTEC ResourceNet India Private Ltd by providing technical expertise in the Environmental Services sector As an Associate Water Resource Engineer, you will play a key role in a wide variety of Water Resources projects This position is anticipated to consist of large systems, and/or reservoirs, canals, and other water management facilities, water supply studies, hydrologic and hydrogeologic assessments, dewatering studies, Ground water modelling, Analysis of Flood & Drought, support for mining projects and permitting Support project managers/team leader by providing technical support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and STANTEC expectations.
Key Accountabilities: Primary responsibilities will be related to performing key tasks to support Water Resources of projects Responsibilities are anticipated to include but are not limited to the following: Be responsible for adhering to Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work Learn and apply new technical skills for the design, planning, and execution of Water Resources projects.
Work as part of small and large teams both in person and remotely Supporting senior-level engineers to complete planning, research, preliminary design, and performing detailed design modelling tasks .
Performing a variety of clearly defined assignments that require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria Manage tasks and project work under senior's guidance according to approved scopes of work and deliver quality reports on schedule and within budget Implementing QA/QC procedures and standards for data storage and project processes.
Monitors own work to ensure budgets and schedules are being met Execute specific technical tasks or requirements for projects Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials .

Champions new ideas and initiatives and creates an environment that supports creativity and innovation Builds and maintains productive professional and personal networking relationships Experience in the completion of some or all the following: Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses of watersheds and water systems to estimate rainfall runoff and flow conditions under existing and future conditions Analysis of the impacts of different climate change scenarios on watersheds and flows, water system operations, and water supplies.
Evaluation of the impacts of proposed new water infrastructure (reservoirs, groundwater banks, conveyance facilities, etc), water system operational changes, and water policy changes on water supplies, water quality, hydropower, and river flows Evaluation of river flow conditions to meet a variety of needs, including environmental, municipal, and industrial, agricultural, recreational, energy, and others Analysis of water resources management issues and infrastructure at local, regional, and statewide scales Title:Associate Water Resource Engineer Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering, water resources engineering, hydrology, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred Preferred 3 to 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education (eg, advanced degree) and experience.
Good organizational skills with ability to independently manage assigned tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail Time management - Ability to work on different time zones as per the project requirement Balancing immediate and long-term work with varying priorities and deadlines.
Proficient in relevant design and hydrological modeling software's, such as, HEC-suite, MIKE-21, MIKE-11, ESTRY-TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, SWAT, ArcHydro, MODFLOW, CALSIM/WRIMS Experience in WEAP, MicroFEM, Flow 3D, STAAD Pro, Water gem, Water CAD, MATLAB, Basic programming, Basic statistical Analysis would be an added advantage .
Working knowledge in ESRI's ArcPro, Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map 3D), Remote Sensing Software's: ArcMap, QGIS and ERDAS and working knowledge of GIS would be considered an asset Employment Type: Full-Time Job Type: Regular Job Category: Civil Engineering Location :India-Maharashtra-Pune Country:India State/Province:Maharashtra City:Pune
