We invite you to explore opportunities with CubicJob Details:Job Summary: Plans, oversees and conducts audits to review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls in assigned organizational units to ensure the planning, accounting, custodial and control activities of an operation are in compliance with Company objectives, policies, and procedures, and government laws and regulations Assists in the planning and reviewing of Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing Assists in the planning and reviewing of financial audits, IT audits and other operational audits This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authorityEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determines the objectives for assigned audits
• Plans and prepares the scope of audit programs
• Determines audit procedures and identifies key control points within processes and systems
• Conducts financial and operational audits.
  
  
• Plan, review, and perform (as needed) Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits and testing, as required
• Obtains, analyzes and appraises data for an informed objective opinion of the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of operation
• Trains lower level audit personnel
• Reviews test work papers of subordinate staff
• Develops solutions to problems identified during audits and translates these solutions into practical recommendations.
  
  
• Prepares a formal report on the adequacy and effectiveness of systems, including recommendations for corrective actions to improve operations and reduce costs
• Presents drafts of formal reports to management and obtains their responses to recommendations
• Follows up on recommendations and appraises corrective actions taken to improve deficient conditions
• Provides suggestions for audits for inclusion in the department's annual audit plan and for overall improvement of the department
• On an annual basis, completes 40 hours of continuing professional education as defined by the California State Board of Accountancy Continuing Professional Education Requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:Skills knowledge and experience: Essential:

• Minimum of four years of experience in public accounting, audit, or general accounting
• Audit experience and a solid understanding of IT General Controls is required
• Knowledge of accounting, program control and computer procedures and reports

Desirable:

• Prior experience with SAP, Workday, and Concur

Education and qualificationsEssential:

• Four-year college degree in accounting or related field

Desirable:

• One of the following: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and an advanced degree.
