• Oversee the Legal Billing and Reporting team and provide detailed regular reporting.
  
  
• Implement process improvements and documents processes
• Analyze vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with the firm's outside counsel manual
• Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely submission of invoices in the Company's workflow system and coordinate with the Accounts Payable team to ensure a shared understanding of priorities and urgent matters
• Review open items routinely and escalate issues for resolution and communicate internally to determine appropriate allocations
• Corresponding with law firms to reconcile bills, making necessary adjustments and to educate the firms with respect to our billing practices.
  
  

Role requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a legal billing capacity and must understand how law firms bill their clients
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and as an individual contributor
• Outstanding skills with Microsoft Excel
• Desire and enthusiasm to adapt to the changing needs of the organization.
  
  
• Legal billing system experience, especially Passport, a plus
