Job SummaryAs a member of the IT Operations group, reporting to the Senior Manager of Platform Services, the Cloud Architect is responsible for architecting applications in cloud, prepare design documents, cloud migration steps, cloud engineering duties to roll out applications in cloud, cloud network, cloud security etc, You will perform hands-on duties on cloud technologies primarily focused on building environment using PaaS, serverless such as API Gateway, Fargate, Containers, CI/CD, CloudFormation templates etc, and troubleshooting and managing cloud services Key success factors include a positive attitude, good work ethics, and the ability to work independently, as well as within teams As part of this well-respected IT group, you will enjoy a wide variety of hands-on work in emerging technologies within a supportive team environment.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

• Cloud Architect must collaborate with Enterprise Architect, Application Architect, Security Architect/engineer, network architect
• Architect cloud solutions for new applications
• Design and configure cloud solutions and migration steps to cloud for exiting applications from datacenter
• Prepare Design Documents for Cloud environments
• Provide design recommendations to managed service provider on cloud standards
• Run POCs of new cloud technologies and keep it ready in Service-Catalog
• Build POC, Prod and non-prod environments in cloud
• Work with security team on all vulnerabilities and its fix
• Collaborate with network team on all network connections to cloud and manage VPC, ALB, NLB, TGW, Direct Connect etc,
• Automate repetitive jobs and hand over IaaS components to server team
• Work closely with Application developers, Project Managers, Cloud Architect, Enterprise Architect and other internal teams to integrate with other applications and rollout this project
• Prepare documentation of technical specifications, application support details for code deployment and train the application support team
• Build CloudFormation templates and scripts using YAML and Python to store all infrastructure details as code
• Setup monitors, backups and alerts and train monitoring team on new technologies
• Work on cloud spend optimization and Security Hub
• Run Five pillar well-architected framework and remediation

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related filed, or equivalent education/experience
• 5+ years of experience in AWS is a must and an overall 7+ years of experience in IT
• Experience in Containers, CI/CD, Cloud service implementation, and troubleshooting are required
• Very good experience with Linux & Windows OS and scripting in Python, YAML, JSON, etc
• Candidate with multiple AWS certifications is preferred

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

• Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge in development and support of IaaS and PaaS cloud services in AWS
  • Thorough understanding of cloud infrastructure
  • Very good experience in cloud orchestration, automation and CloudFormation
• Skills:
  • Highly skilled in scripting
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Abilities:
  • Accustomed to work within the ITIL framework of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration and Release Management
  • Ability to be an on-call escalation point for production support and scheduled off-hours/weekend work if/when required
• Additional qualities:
  • Desire to focus on and please the customer, ability to understand requests from the customer's point of view
  • Commitment to high professional and ethical standards in a diverse workplace

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

• Organization is following a Hybrid-work, ranging from two to four days in the office and one to three days from home
• Full-time work from the office is also an option
• Some offices have been modernized and include amenities such as optional standing desks, please inquire during the interview process
• Reasonable flexibility in working hours is mutual, flexibility may be agreed to for support of personal needs and can also be necessary to support work activities and deadlines
• Diverse abilities may be accommodated in this role more easily than a similar role at other companies for reasons that include the remote-work potential, the use of Microsoft Teams for nearly all remote meetings (enabling near real-time closed captioning during meetings) and/or working hours flexibility
• Personal computer will be supplied, adequate network connectivity while working remotely is required and is the responsibility of the individual
• Minimal physical effort is required, work is mostly sedentary
• A frequent volume of work and deadlines does impose some strain
• Typically work is performed during the business hours of IST with some hours of overlap with US eastern-time, with occasional flexibility to support releases during off-hours and weekends
