Key Responsibilities in this role:

• Be responsible for the delivery of projects from the DevOps roadmap Everything from idea to implementation
• Provide guidance into the DevOps toolchain, lifecycle, improvement, and standardisation strategies
• Drive workable, simple (where possible) solutions with a re-use methodology to promote future reduced u201Ctime-to-valueu201D
• Create reusable design patterns to support consistent and productive implementation of modern technologies into Lillyu2019s custom developed apps
• Provide technical expertise to the SPE DevOps team, support the direction, and guidance to platform strategy direction
• Accept and evangelize the DevOps culture and embed within the day-to-day organization activities
• Favour automation over manual processes and work to transform existing processes to adopt automation wherever possible and sensible
• Configure build pipelines to support automated testing and deployments
• Research and engage in Proof-Of-Concept (POC) activities related to technologies new to Lillyu2019s portfolio
• Take ownership of executing on incoming tasks that have been approved and work to incorporate those enhancements into the overall SPE roadmap
• Work alongside teams to establish engineering excellence using GitHub SCM, Actions, CodeSpaces, Advanced Security, co-pilot, etc
• Engineer modern IT solutions ranging from developing scripts and applications to automate work, leveraging APIu2019s using GraphQL, REST, etc, continuing to enhance and maintain shared enterprise deployment pipelines and CI/CD tools
• Building solution on top of modern cloud offerings including AWS (Amazon Web Services) & Azure
• Architect cloud applications using modern architecture principles such as micro-service design
• Utilize certifications and industry experience to improve how services are offered
• Deliver end to end projects from understanding requirements, designing architectures to solutions, developing the solution, and then handing over to support/operations

Required Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of total experience
• 5+ yearsu2019 programming experience (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript)
• Good proficiency with AWS is required
• Hands on experience developing webapps with either React or Vue JS
• Develop integrations using APIs (Application Programming Interface)
• 5+ yearsu2019 experience building and working with DevSecOps solutions and concepts
• 5+ yearsu2019 experience designing, creating, and executing automation solutions
• 5+ yearsu2019 working with Git, specifically working in a team which adopts modern GitHub practices (Git Flow, Actions, etc)
• Knowledge of microservice architecture
• Understanding of shell scripting such as bash
• Understand the various aspects of the DevOps Toolchain
• 5+ years working in a software development team following modern software development practices (Testing, Code Reviews, Code Coherence, use of a multitude of frameworks/libs)
• Exposure to container-based systems such as Kubernetes or Docker
• Responsible for assisting in the monitoring and management of deployed environments
• Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Mocha/Jest

Essential Skills:

• Passionate about Agile and using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

• Passion for continuous learning and keeping up with the ever-changing technology curve
• Be able to work within a global team collaborating with people from different time zones, specifically Europe/India
• Proven experience of articulating technical solutions to non-technical personnel
• Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to build professional networks with diverse groups of individuals and to work effectively within geographically dispersed teams and partners
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer/AWS Certified Developer
• Azure Developer Associate Certified/Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions Certified

Desirable Skills:

• Focus on shared learning, continuous improvement, and drive adoption of best practices
• Prior experience with Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) or Google AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field
