Job Description:
Learning and execution of Cargill’s trading and hedging strategies, tactics and practices, under trader supervision, which will include the use of futures and OTC risk management derivative products
Develop working knowledge of economic Supply/Demand research and analysis
Communicating and potential to work with internal and external customers on a daily basis, both written and verbal
Trade-flow analysis, working closely with Cargill Metals Analytics team
Developing market knowledge through interaction with traders, brokers and other market participants.
Develop physical knowledge of the specific traded commodity as well as shipping, logistics, quality, contract terms and operations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Business Adminstration; Finance; Economics AND Financial Engineering; Quantitative & Mathematical Studies
Programming skill in C++; Pascal; or Python is highly advantageous
Prior internship experience is desirable
Demonstrated self-starter, entrepreneurial and innovative behaviors, strong business acumen
Significant quantitative and analytical facility and commercially-minded
Successfully completed, currently enrolled, or planning to complete before graduating either a Micro or Macro introductory college-level Economics course
Ability to contribute and execute as part of a team and individually
Strong communication skills – written, oral, persuasion in English and Mandarin
