Qualification:

A Essential Educational Qualification: For Technician-Ill, Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade (Recognised by SCVT/NCVT) and for other posts, 12th or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate The compulsion of 50% marks in aggregate will not be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates possessing qualification higher than 12th or its equivalent

B Essential Cultural Qualification: Candidate should possess Degree/Diploma/ Certificate in the relevant field of Music/Dance as the case may be from a Government recognised Institute.



3 Desirable Qualifications: (i) Experience in the field and performance given on All India Radio/Doordarshan etc (ii) Prizes won at National level

Age: 18 to 33 years

Application Fee: For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes - 250 & All other candidates - 500

General Conditions

1 Before applying, the candidates should ensure that they fullfil all the eligibility norms.

The educational or Cultural qualifications acquired after the last date for submission of application shall not be considered A candidate shall be called for Written Examination only if he/she is considered fulfilling all the laid down eligibility criteria as per his/her application However, the candidature of a candidate shall remain provisional till his/her certificates are examined at the time of Document VerificationCandidates attempting to give false information/suppressing the facts will be disqualified and are liable for debarment and legal action Candidates who attempt fraud/impersonation are liable to be debarred to appear in the future examinations conducted for recruitment in Railways.

Candidates found eligible for appointment have to pass the prescribed medical examination conducted by the Railway administration before appointment

2 Mere selection of candidates and recommendation for their appointment shall not confer any right on them for appointment in Railway Second class Free journey pass from the nearest Railway station mentioned in the application form will be issued to the candidates belonging to SC & ST communities, whenever they are called at any stage of recruitment (vii) The person appointed against Cultural Quota to the category of clerks will be required to possess proficiency in typing within a period of two years from the date of appointment, and their appointment will be provisional subject to acquisition of the prescribed typing qualification within the stipulated period.

In case of non acquisition of typing skill within the prescribed period, no additional time will be given and services of such candidate(s) will be summarily terminated

Selection Procedure
The candidates found prima facie eligible for recruitment will be assessed on the following basis: (A) Written Test(Note : The written test will consist of 50 objective type questions) -50 marks (B) Assessment of talent in the relevant field : (i) On the basis of Practical Demonstration-35 marks (ii) On the basis of Testimonials/Prizes etc 15 marks (Total 100 marks)

The North Eastern was formed on 14th April 1952 by combining two Railway systems (Oudh and Tirhut Railway and Assam Railway) and Cawnpore-Achnera section of the BB&CIR. It was bifurcated into two Railway Zones on 15th Jan. 1958 – North Eastern Railway and North East Frontier Railway. The present N. E. Railway (NER), after re-organisation of Railway Zones in 2002, comprises of three Divisions - Varanasi, Lucknow & Izatnagar. NER has 3450 route kms with 486 stations. NER primarily serves the areas of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand & western districts of Bihar.
