You'll be instrumental in managing and improving the health and stability of our MySQL instances You'll partner with development and systems groups to provide deep subject matter expertise in various projectsAs a Database Administrator Senior Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and mentoring direct reports
• Defining strategy to support daily work as well as longer term architectural improvements
• Performing database administration installing, configuring, upgrading, and migrating existing databases
• Defining database requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence the new designs and standards
• Collaborating with our support, operations and engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems
• Participating in on-call rotations, guiding restoration and repair of service-impacting issues

Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:

• 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience
• Possess experience with MySQL/Percona Server with focus on Innodb storage engine and internals
• Display an understanding of MySQL Replication principles (both GTID-based & binary log position based) and replication topologies
• Have experience assisting developers with database development and schema design principles (normalization and denormalization where needed)
• Possess in-depth knowledge of MySQL configuration, database performance, and query optimization
• Possess experience configuring and monitoring ProxySQL in a high traffic environment to support load balancing/HA/mirroring
