Job Description

• Responsible for road /pavement design drawings while finalizing the detailed engineering designs, specifications and drawings, keep in consideration factors for resilience to climate risks/ climate change impacts and disaster risks (as per national standards/international standards and/or best practices, including ADBs South Asia Department framework and practice,
• Responsible for the feasibility studies and preparation of detailed engineering designs, bid- level working/ good for construction drawings, including engineering cost estimates and item- rate analysis, and specifications (goods/plant and/or civil works components) for bid documents of the finalized subprojects comprehensive DPR covering integrated industrial waste and MSW management
• Contribute to institutional capacity development strengthening through technical capacitybuilding/ on-the-job training sessions, based on sectoral expertise of the consultant and impart training

Candidate SpecificationThe role holder should have 5 years of specific experience as Road / Pavement Designer/ Design Reviewer of Roads in Site Planning and Structures under Planning and Design Works with proven credentials in integrated industrial/ urban sector related road/ pavementplanning and design, and related roaddesigns/layouts in integrated site complexes, structures, public open spaces/plazas, parking areas, common infrastructure facilities, community facilities, etc, including retrofitting right-of- way spaces based on innovative principles (eg, complete streets-based streetscape designs), adaptive reuse of older industrial use spaces/ urban grey field or brownfield areas, etc.

• Work experience in design and implementation of external-aided/MDB projects in integrated industrial/ urban sectors is desirable
• Bachelors degree from a recognized University in Civil Engineering/Transportation Engineering/Architectural Engineering or equivalent
