The Development Manager (C++) will be responsible for identifying and running continuous improvement initiatives to improve the quality of technology deliverables, improve efficiency and productivity of the teamYou will drive planning, project execution and development of technical talentMain Responsibilities:

• Responsible for technical solutions, sizing and guiding the team through all phases of development
• Mix of team management, project management skills and direct involvement in technical initiatives involving analytics, architecture design, Operability and NFRs
• Key contributor to Development Excellence and vision of the Amadeus Distribution platform
• You will be working with globally distributed teams to come up with plans to create new features and evolve platform performance
• Model, design and implement Application (batch, daemons) / API services (REST, WS) development of Java based Open Backend application
• Creating local experts and thereby increasing team contribution and ownership in business objectives
• Create high performing and motivated team which are empowered and self-organized
• Develop the right line management structure that will perform efficiently and is set up to grow
• Set objectives and provide regular and effective feedback to the team
• Designing solutions and perform feasibility studies
• Evaluating and recommending new tools and processes
• Review and enforce practices to optimize and maintain platform stability, performance, and compliance
• Lead the local experts' community in the department level and build a vibrant and motivated community for technology evangelization locally Share best practices with other colleagues
• Contribute to cross functional initiatives to improve platform Stability and operability

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 10+ years of experiencewith hands-on C++ development
• Knowledge on C++11/17/20 & framework development using python would be good to have
• Knowledge on Machine Learning , Feature Engineering, Data Platforms would be good to have
• Experience in handling team of up to 7-10 members as manager
• Expert in software designing and strong problem-solving skills using design patterns
• Experience in static analysis tool and improving software quality together with team.
  
  Experience in refactoring legacy modules into robust and modern modules
• Expertise in one or more structural messages [XML(XSD), JSON(Swagger), and YAML]
• In depth knowledge in data structures and algorithms, knowledge in distributed data structures
• Exposure to working global and distributed teams should be an advantage
• Exposure to CI/CD platform
• Deep understanding of non-functional requirements (NFR) and/or underlying technologies impacting final solution
• Knowledge and exposure to Cloud based development (Docker container technology in Kubernetes / OpenShift preferred)
• Good Knowledge on NoSQL Database
