Job Summary Responsible for participating as an technical expert in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributing to new products implementation, implementing existing products and services and providing the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering Interfaces with vendors, Engineering and peer operations organizations Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities.
Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment Does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities May direct workflow and act as a technical lead May lead teams or projects and shares expertise Job Description Core Responsibilities Assist ourselves and our users to exploit our tools to better understand, support ad report on our complex customer solutions Design, build, deliver and support infrastructure and services to improve the availability, scalability and performance of our support tools as well as our monitoring capabilitie Work with CI/CD systems to enable and support automation of our services, including pipeline design and delivery of best practices Promote SRE good practices to help us grow in a sustainable way whilst contributing to the stability and security of the environment Employees at all levels are expected to: A passion for technology with skills in the following areas: Linux scripting, such as Bash and Python - Must have sklls Linux system administration - Must have SQL Development - Good to have (db maintance) CI/CD - Must have Using and integrating with REST APIs Cloud experience such as GCP pub/sub, BigData, AWS - GCP is a plus, AWS is good to have Interest and ability to learn other development languages & tools as required Ideally you'll be keen to learn about and use: CNCF monitoring tools such as Open Tracing and Prometheus and also have an interest in Observability Machine Learning and anomaly detection We're looking for individuals who are: Excited by using cutting edge technology Are creative thinkers, driven by building creative solutions to problems Have a structured approach to work Think beyond their areas of responsibility Happy working in an Agile team Disclaimer: This information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
