The candidate will be the technical contact for production issues found from our eCommerce application and will be required to provide L3 resolution support on a daily basis The successful candidate must be able to lead other team members and oversee day-to-day operations of our support organization In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to work in US time zones to cover US business hours Responsibilities:
- Resolve production issues or enquiries raised by customer care community or stakeholders in time and in good quality
- Act as a mentor to other support staff and provide oversight, coaching, and training when necessary
- Actively monitor our eCommerce application and its interface points with other applications and resolve any potential issues proactively
- Prioritize each issue and communicate resolution plan to relevant stakeholders
- Work with other cross-functional team members to understand root causes and coordinate the resolutions
- Document how each issue was resolved and what the root cause was and suggest how to prevent similar issues
- Escalate road-blocking issues as necessary and in a timely manner
- Responsible for deploying code/configuration changes made by development or other support team
- Participate in hands-on development work when requested
- Work with development team to resolve code bugs, perform unit tests, and conduct code reviews when requested
- Develop and adhere to production support standards
- Share knowledge through knowledge-sharing sessions with other team members
- Assist management team in creating support roadmap and strategy
Qualifications
- 7+ years of enterprise software industry experience
- 5+ years of experience and proficiency in eCommerce applications
- Hands-on development experience with Firebase, ReactJS, Nodejs, and headless development tools
- Development or support experience with applications hosted in cloud environment (Preferably GCP)
- Hands on experience on deploying code/configuration changes to remote systems
- Good knowledge on network protocols and cloud paradigm
- Experience with using issue tracking software (e.
g JIRA, Gitlab, etc) - Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Proven people management and leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills through all levels of an organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Skills in task planning and estimation
- Love being the first line of support and troubleshooting issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- To be able to work in US time zones to cover US business hours
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
