Project focus would be data centers and telecommunications facilities but could include a variety of other facilities including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, or institutional facilities in the US Burns & McDonnell India is looking for a young and energetic candidate to join our Global Facilities Group in Mumbai office to support electrical design activities involved on mission-critical datacenter projects mainly in USA Responsibilities: Specific areas of responsibility include the following: 1 Designing electrical systems/equipment to provide for a useful and safe workplace 2.
Advise clients regarding electrical systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes 3 Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes 4 Participate in developing the design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution.
5 Reviews electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated 6 Developing concept studies and design 7 Enforces standards and practices.
8 Work with a Senior electrical engineering in supporting design activities on the project Qualifications1 Minimum Criteria a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
b 2 years of related electrical design experience c Knowledge of electrical design principles, standards, and codes d CAD, REVIT and Microsoft Office skills necessary to accomplish electrical design goals 2 Preferred Criteria a.
Data center or telecommunication facility experience and knowledge of critical facility electrical design b Understanding of NFPA 70, 70E, 75, 101 and other applicable sections c Ability to write specifications for electrical equipment, devices, and material Not Applicable #BMI N/A
