Job SummaryReporting to the Manager of IT Services, the ServiceNow Administrator should ensure ServiceNow platform provides the required functionality and performance You will work closely with the Team lead for managing projects and the developers to support enhancements The key element of the role will be responsibility for the administration of our IT Service Management environment, to create complex system configurations, reports and database query development based on requirements Our top priorities are to focus on resource availability, timely delivery of projects, application performance, providing proactive support and preventing disruptions while enabling fast growth of our life sciences company You will also have the opportunity to become cross skilled in various other technologies.

Key success factor will include a positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as within teams As a part of this well-respected IT group you will enjoy a wide variety of self-directed work within a supportive team environmentMAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)
  • Configure, test, and deploy solutions on the ServiceNow Platform
  • Take initiatives for various activities that results in team's growth
  • Champion assigned projects and serve as SME.

  • Involve in the research of new technologies, features, and plan to implement the same
  • Create and manage process documents
  • Take ownership for ServiceNow version upgrade activities- Co-ordinating, Communicating to various IT Teams, Post validation activities
  • Take responsibility for updating the knowledge repository
  • Review and resolve incidents, requests and ensure no SLA breach.

  • Manage ticketed query system and ensure queries and resolutions are tracked and kept up to date
  • Take ownership of escalated issues and ensure resolution
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of ServiceNow alerts Monitor, manage, coordinate and act based on the instructions
  • Report on operational status, work on assigned tickets, complete assignments on time and prioritize tasks.

  • Consult with the software development team, internal users, and vendors to improve application performance
  • Perform analyses on software application functionality and suggest improvements
  • Possess good knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change process
  • Upskill process knowledge from time to time
  • Deliver regular and customized training to teams within the business.

  • Develop reports for teams across the business
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience is required
  • ServiceNow Administrator experience with strong understanding of ServiceNow Platform including, but not limited to, ITSM, CMDB, Asset Management and Change Management is required
  • SME experience in handling process required.

  • Certified in ITIL V3 or above is desirable
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of Form & Field dictionary management is required
    • Knowledge of ACL, SLA and catalog management is required
    • Knowledge of creating ana maintaining workflows is required
    • Knowledge in creating and managing notifications, dashboards and reports is required.

    • Knowledge in Incident, Problem, Change and other ITIL modules is required
    • Knowledge of various client-side objects like Client script, UI policies, UI actions, UI scripts, email scripts, server-side objects like Business rules, Script include, and Workflow scripts is highly desirable
    • Knowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages is highly desirable
  • Skills:
    • Good customer service skill is required
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills are required.

    • Excellent troubleshooting skills are required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Good communication skills are required
    • Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of issues and fixing them as required
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to be an on-call escalation point for production support and scheduled off-hours/weekend work if/when required.

    • Ability to manage resources across shifts is required
    • Ability to work independently as well as a team environment with a positive attitude required
    • Good ability to establish rapport with the stakeholders is required
    • Exceptional ability to provide support to internal departments
    • Ability to document configuration changes, and monitor performance is required.

    • Ability to keep up with innovation in application design is required

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)
  • Hybrid-work is preferred by many coworkers in this organization, ranging from two to four days in the office and one to three days from home.

  • Remote work is an option, with the ability to remain as such if agreed upon during the hiring process (monthly or quarterly office visits are highly encouraged)
  • Full-time work from the office is also an option
  • Typical work hours fall between the business hours of central European and North American east coast time-zones, flexing as required by current projects
