Engineer, AS Position OverviewJob Title: Associate - Software Developer Location: PuneThis role is for Software Development Engineer responsible for developing and unit testing software applications The candidate is expected to work closely with Team Leads or Software Development Managers and other key stake holders to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software applications are delivered to users He/she should be coming from a strong technological background Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance Should be able to technically guide and mentor junior resources in the team.

Your key responsibilities Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with the following preferred technologies or, minimally, direct equivalents

• Hands-on software development
• Should be able to contribute towards good software design
• Thorough testing of developed software
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings
• Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner
• Train other team members to bring them up to speed
• Analyse software defects and fix them in timely manner
• Work closely with Functional Analysis and Quality Assurance teams

Your skills and experience

• Strong development skills in Java 8 and above, knowledge of additional languages like Kotlin, Scala, Python is a plus
• Hands on experience in opensource Java frameworks like - Spring Batch, Spring Boot, JPA and Hibernate
• Hands on experience in messaging technologies like - JMS, IBM MQ, Solace, Kafka
• Experience in at least one of the relational databases - Oracle (preferable), MySQL, Postgres, H2
• Handson experience in developing REST/JSON Web Services
• Should have sound knowledge in Build tools - Maven (preferable), Gradle, Jenkins, TeamCity
• Should have sound knowledge in web and application servers like Tomcat (preferably), Weblogic, Webspere, JBoss etc.
  
  
• Should have sound knowledge in revision control system - Git (preferable), SVN
• Sound knowledge of Unit testing frameworks - Junit (preferably), Mockito
• Experience in developing Unix shell scripts

Nice to have

• Experience in UI development using frameworks like Angular, React
• Understanding of BDD concepts and testing frameworks like Cucumber
• Exposure to development in cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, AWS, Openshift
• Knowledge of Spring Cloud framework eg Spring cloud dataflow, stream and tasks Some exposure on ibatis ORM framework
