We have an excellent opportunity for a Data Governance Analyst with a background in financial services to join Macquarie's Financial Management Group in the Data team at Gurugram to manage data governance responsibilities In this role, you will be required to work with both - the finance and business teams cross functionally and build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders Your success in this role will require tremendous SME knowledge on data quality and governance with exceptional stakeholder management In this role you will work closely with senior members of the Finance and Business teams to drive understanding of data requirements, policies, control documentation and enhancing of data quality You will be a self-starter, curious and driven, with the ability to self-manage workload and deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.
Your strong analytical, problem-solving skills, coupled with your experience within finance, will ensure you are successful in this role An understanding of enterprise data management, data quality concepts and data governance would be desirable for this role You will have a post-qualification experience of around 4-8 years in data and information management roles as data business analyst in the financial services industry, it will be advantageous to have experience in regulatory projects To be successful in this role, you will have a good understanding of data risks and enterprise data management and data quality concepts You will have the ability to evaluate consumers' critical usages and associated critical data elements (CDE).
You will define and maintain appropriate CDE definitions and their data lineages using enterprise data management tools like Collibra You will drive controls implementation and testing for effectiveness Support monitoring of controls effectiveness and define good quality business rules You will collaborate with multiple GDO teams on data quality requirements and work with platform teams to implement the rules You will maintain strong working relationships with the stakeholders, risk management teams).
Additionally, you will have strong project planning, analytical skills and be able to interpret data You must be familiar with financial management disciplines in a large/complex organization You will be ommitted to employee engagement and a passion for operational excellence and be a self- starter who can work well both independently You will have a CFA certification or MBA in finance Knowledge in data science/analytics would be advantageous.
