- Responsible for performing structural analysis of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems while working as a coordinated team
- Structural analysis includes calculation of loads, Static analysis, Fatigue analysis, Damage-Tolerance analysis, and Vibration analysis
- Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations and, finite element method
- Generate documentation to report analysis and, test results to support certification/qualification
- Support Gated Reviews to validate the quality and completeness of work packages
- Familiar with regulatory framework (FAA and Mil-Spec), for warranting safety and regulatory compliance
- Completely understands and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
- This position will be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with team members and engineering managers in Boeing organizations and shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents
- This position will Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers and will represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
- This position will participate and support initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/Structural engineering and should have experience in stress analysis
- 11-15 Years of relevant Work experience.
- 10 or more years' of structural analysis experience in aircraft structure, landing gear, doors and windows, materials and properties, analysis methodologies and processes
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, Free-body diagrams, structural loads and analysis methods
- Must have experience working with multi-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners
- Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones
- Communication - strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals Candidate must be proficient in English, and familiar with MS Office tools.
- Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working optimally under pressure in a time-constrained environment
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor and teach subordinates and partners to accomplish project and departmental goals and objectives
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in structural analysis of various airframe structures
- Experience with Boeing specific applications such IAS, CWS, XSA and others
- Experience with structural analysis of metallic and composite structures.
- Experience with static and fatigue analysis
- Experience/Familiarity with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures (eg, fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, and repair techniques)
- Experience/Familiarity in Airplane Design, Stress Analysis, Liaison Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering strongly preferred
- Experience working with finite element models/simulations using NASTRAN/PATRAN, ABAQUS, Hypermesh, etc.
- Experience with 3D modeling such as CATIA/ENOVIA for model interrogation and verification
- Programming experience such as VBA, Matlab, Python, Visual Basics and others
- Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across functional teams and organizations
- Desire to continuously improve our airplanes
