Financial Planning Analysis Analyst Job In Smiths Group In Gurgaon / Gurugram, India

Job DescriptionThe individual will be a key member of the divisional Finance team, supporting timely and accurate division-wide financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting Duties & ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll definitely need :

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: prepare analysis of consolidated divisional financial information, ensuring accuracy and consistency, throughout the monthly reporting cycle Maintain, run and check reports to extract system data in the format required for management reporting Includes the preparation of monthly, quarterly and 6 monthly analysis for key stakeholders, such as senior leadership including the Group Executive Committee, divisional leadership team and regional management teams Responding to ad hoc requests for analysis as required.
  
  
• Budgeting and Forecasting: support the budgeting and forecasting process for the whole division, including preparing consolidated information and presentation of data to senior management This includes dealing directly with cost center owners/board members to forecast accurate costs
• Strategy: Support the divisional strategy process, providing financial analysis to the Business strategy team and prepare a P&L, balance sheet and cash flow for the five-year plan
• Analytics and Business Information: Support the divisional analytics strategy, making use of Oracle Planning, the financial reporting and planning system, and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI Gaining familiarity with the mapping of financial data between systems will also be beneficial
• Finance Systems, Projects and Continuous Improvement: complete various ad-hoc projects as required, including the opportunity to get involved in improving automation of data flows to enable key FP&A processes, such as using Oracle Planning or Power BI to consolidate reporting metrics.
  
  Drive efficiencies within Finance and wider business, including looking for opportunities to streamline reporting and forecasting activities Improvements will range from implementing best practices in financial modelling in Excel to changing the use of systems and processes to improve speed, accuracy and flexibility of reporting and analysis
• Communication: maintain open and clear lines of communications between the divisional HQ and the business units globally Maintain effective communication with divisional leadership team members and senior stakeholders at divisional HQ

The IndividualWhat you'll definitely need :

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Strong analytical skills, using historical financial information, strategic plan or forecast data.
  
  Record of delivering business performance improvement is a plus
• The ability to prepare and check suitable management reporting by utilising business understanding
• Strong Excel skills (such as using SUMIFS, XLOOKUP and Power Pivot to analyse data)
• A conscientious approach to reporting with a strong attention to detail
• Flexibility with a problem solving mindset
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Excellent communication skills and influencing skills The position needs to work across all the business units and with senior stakeholders.
  
  
• Experience of dealing with large organizations and consolidations is an advantage
• Comfortable working with different cultures
• The ability and motivation to persistently prepare high quality financial planning, reporting and analysis
• Ability to work with a team in a variety of locations, including the UK, Europe, the US and India The line manager will be in the UK, and so it will be important to be able to work effectively when some other team members will be offline.
  
  
• Particularly for new and ad hoc tasks, being able to quickly propose or decide how tasks could be completed effectively as there will not always be established processes
• The ability to make effective, timely decisions in a complex global business, by sourcing and analysing critical information
• Gaining an understanding and recognition of the organisation's commercial environment and positioning themselves, their role and their actions in order to support the organisations commercial success
