Depending on role and business needs, colleagues will either work onsite, in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and virtual days) or fully virtually As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a role in enabling our mission to implement automation across the full spectrum of database development lifecycle at American Express, thereby driving agility, improved quality, and efficiencies in database software development and operations across the enterprise Identifying opportunities for automation of Database Administration and Maintenance tasks, identifying appropriate stack for coding, managing the version of the code, deploying the code on different environments and providing enhancement/issue fix support for the package You are also a versatile database engineer with a strong background and practical experience with database administration Designs, develops, troubleshoots, evaluates, modifies, deploys and documents all database automation components that meet the needs of DBAs, application partners, business partners of internal end user

• Prefer Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Management, Computer Science Engineering or related subject.
  
  
• Experience in building Python based apps using popular web frameworks (eg Django, Flask etc)
• Good understanding on microservices and SOA architecture and associated principles
• Deployed and automated using devops tools using docker container, jenkins pipeline in cloud
• Good knowledge in maintaining various version controls systems such as GIT, Bit-Bucket
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database queries, libraries ect.
  
  
• Works as part of a team of data management professionals supporting a portfolio of development projects, both regional and global in scope
• Will work with database development team to analyze and understand automation requirements
• Develop Micro service to integrate custom Python Modules while exposing to Express APIs
• End-to-End API creation and integration on robust framework
• Write unit test cases in python and deploy.
