Roles and Responsibilities:Meeting with design and engineering teams to determine hardware requirements Designing and developing components such as printed circuit boards (PCB), processors, memory modules, and network components Collaborating with software engineers to ensure software compatibility and integration with the hardware components Testing hardware prototypes and analyzing and interpreting performance data Generating analytic and performance reports for presentation and revision.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing errors and suggesting suitable repairs or modifications Overseeing the manufacturing process of electrical components to ensure they meet the design specifications Implementing maintenance, repairs, and modifications to existing components Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in computer technology and design trends Required Skills, Qualifications (Technical Competency):Senior Design engineer with experience in Digital domain Strong design experience in Mixed signal board design (specially in New Product Design) Strong hands-on design experience in MPU/MCU based high speed Digital design.
Strong hands-on digital design experience using various Memories (Serial Flash) and digital Communication protocols (SPI/I2C/Ethernet/UART) Experience in Schematics drawing Orcad capture Strong hands-on experience in hardware design & development cycle Good experience in the Board brings up & details functional design testing Experience in working with power converters (DC/DC) designs and Power management designs for control unit Design exposure in EMI/EMC design and understanding of certification standards for countries (EU/US/APAC) Experience in various circuit analysis (FMEA/Derating/worst-case) Experience in preparation of various design document Knowledge of regulatory & safety requirements such as UL9540/UL1973/IEC62619/IEC 60730, etc Experience working with Contactors and Relays Experience working with hardware peripherals and communication protocols Working knowledge of safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products.
Good experience in cross functional co-ordinate with other engineering teams (PCB Layout, mechatronics, Firmware & verification) in matrix organization Hands on experience of working with LV and HV systems (>1000V) Working knowledge of UPS and Storage Applications Knowledge in DFM, DFA, DFT, EMI/EMC
