Institutional Credit Management's ('ICM') objective is to provide an integrated 'end-to-end' credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise Institutional Client Group (ICG) In-Business Quality Assurance is an integral part of the ICM organizationThe ICG In-BusinessQuality Assurance function (QA) verifies that established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied ICG Management uses the results of the quality assurance reviews to assess the quality of the group's policies, procedures, programs, and practices as relates to the management of wholesale credit risk The results help management identify operational weaknesses, risks associated with the function, training needs, and process deficiencies.

The ICM In-Business Quality Assurance Senior Officer executes and participates on the Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs), providing feedback, insight, and observations on any deficiency and areas of improvement, engaging with the management of the respective ICG business area, Independent Risk, and critical partner stakeholders and regulators This role reports to the ICM Head of In-Business Quality Assurance Head of DataKey responsibilities include:

• Support the In-Business Quality Assurance Head of Data to set the global strategy for and lead the implementation and ongoing delivery of a robust Quality Assurance function in accordance with the coverage universe as it relates to WCR data governance
• Provide effective credible challenge during QARs to BusinessRegion Heads and Portfolio Managers,
• as regards effectiveness of data quality and completeness process management to ensure that weaknesses in such processes are identified and escalated as appropriate

• Assist to ensure data captured is in alignment with the appropriate legal and credit documents needed for credit, operations, management, and regulatory reporting
• Develop and roll-out analytics solutions and tools to streamline and automate data testing for IBQA
• Under the supervision of the In-Business Quality Assurance Head of Data, support execution of the following:
  • Consistent and objective assessments during QARs
  • Subsequent follow-up on corrective actions that were raised during QARs
  • Synthe and prepare quarterly Quality Assurance Scorecard Reports to ICG businessmanagement that communicate and measure results and identify negative trends and potential solutions
• Help to update and create QAR templates and continuously improve processes and infrastructure by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
• Interact with the respective IBQA teams and QA Directors to ensure that quality assurance protocols are adequate for all portfolio under coverage
• Provide oversight and guidance over the assessment of complex data related issues, structure potential solutions and drive effective resolution with stakeholders
• Support WCR IBQA function in the establishment of WCR IBQA policies, procedures, risk assessment and controls to drive effective QA coverage and standards
• Support WCR IBQA team to abreast of relevant changes to rules/regulations and other industry news including regulatory findings
• Support the WCR IBQA team on internal projects and initiatives
• Support WCR IBQA Voice of the Employee (VOE) as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives
• Travel (less than 10%)

Skills/Competencies:Quality Assurance:

• Demonstrable quality control / quality assurance experience using data analytics, including 7 - 10 years in banking, credit risk management, internal audit, loan review or quality assurance review function at an investment or large commercial bank
• Good understanding QA policies and procedures with the ability to execute change seamlessly
• Good grasp of Wholesale Credit Processes and organizational awareness, to evaluate findings within the Quality Assurance process, determine materiality, and partnering with in-line makers and checkers for ongoing improvement, problem detection, and sustainable remediation
• Awareness and adherence to the control environment including Quality Assurance and Quality Control

• Understanding of process redesign / re-engineering and execution
• Analytical and decision-making capabilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose and execute solutions to complex problems
• Experience in preparing presentations for seniors

Technical:

• Experience with programming languages (Python, R ,SQL) etc
• Experience working with big data Hadoop, Spark etc.
  
  
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills
• Tableau or visualization tool familiarity
• Experience with Loan IQ, transaction capture tools, etc

Qualifications:

• BA/BSc or higher degree in Business (MBA), or any other related subject
