Internship Programme-2018
I Three-months’ Internship Duration: The duration of the Internship Programme will be three months starting from 2 July to 28 September 2018
Eligibility:
(i) The Internship shall be open to Indian citizens between 21 and 30 years of age as on closing date of applications provided they have outstanding academic record in disciplines such as social sciences, science, languages, environmental studies, law, journalism, finance, management, etc
(ii) The applicant should have completed a two-year Post-Graduate Degree (iii) In exceptional circumstances, the Internship Committee may also allow students who are pursuing doctoral study to undergo internship
(iv) The applicant should submit a ‘Recommendation Letter’ from the Principal of College/Head of the Institution/Registrar & Head of Departments he/she last attended or is enrolled in to pursue higher studies along with the completed application form
(v) The applicant should get the permission from the competent authorities of the concerned educational institutions that the student’s joining the Lok Sabha Internship Programme will not hamper his/her studies/will not cause any loss to such Institutions in any way.
(vi) The applicant must also submit a brief but very clear Statement in 250 words which should inter alia state why he/she intends to join the Internship Programme his/her career goals and how the Internship will help him/her in achieving those goals
II One-month Student Internship: Duration: The duration for Student Internship Programme will be from 28 June to 27 July 2018
Age: The applicant should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 30 years as on closing date of applications
Stipend : Stipend payable Rs.
20,000/- and Rs 5000/- forstationery and typing expenses for one monthInternship
Stipend payable Rs 20,000/- per month and Rs10,000/- for stationery and typing expenses for threemonths Internship
Qualifications:
(i) The applicant should be a student pursuing graduation/post graduation in disciplines such as social sciences, science, languages, environmental studies, law, journalism, finance, management, etc
(ii) The applicant should submit a ‘Recommendation Letter’ from the Principal of College/Head of the Institution/Registrar & Head of Departments he/she last attended or is enrolled in to pursue higher studies along with the completed application form.

Internship Positions : 50 Internship Positions for a duration of three months and 50 Internship Positions for a duration of onemonth in the Lok Sabha Secretariat
Stipend and Other Facilities:
(i) In case of the three-months’ Internship, the Intern will be paid an amount of Rs 20,000/- (Rs.
Twenty Thousand only) per month A sum of Rs 10,000/- (Rs Ten Thousand only) meant for stationery and typing expenses may be granted as one-time expenditure during the last month of the Internship to facilitate the completion of the project
(ii) In case of the onemonth Internship, the Intern will be paid a lump sum amount of Rs.
25,000/- (Rs20,000/- as stipend and Rs5,000/- for stationery and typing expenses)
(iii) The Lok Sabha Secretariat will not provide any accommodation/ transport facilities to the Intern and the intern may have to make her/his own arrangements for accommodation/transport during the term of the Internship Programme
