Summary: We are looking for a technical and experienced IT Architecture Specialist / Cloud Backup Expert with several years of administration experience in IT Infrastructure on public clouds You need to be able to run technical PoCs, engineer and create new services, especially on Backup and Restore of different databases like HANA and Sybase.

You will have a chance to directly shape and contribute to the overall Enterprise Cloud Services strategy What you will do- As IT Architecture Specialist / Cloud Backup Expert your role will be to support the team from a technical expert perspective Driving the topic of system and database backup in a critical organization wide project, creating, testing, and implementing technical blueprints and helping to drive the rollout as well You will work on a technical level and focus on developing and operating the new ECS backup service Due to the complex nature of the ECS environment we have many dependencies, and it is expected that you will be able to perform hands-on tasks and are able to execute technical engineering exercises.

Due to the central nature of the team, you will have many touchpoints and good collaboration skills are required as you will be a key contributor in nurturing the technological progress in ECS What you bring-

• Several years of administration experience IT infrastructure
• Experience in cloud backup solutions is must
• Experience with different type of public clouds like, AWS, Azure and GCP
• Experience in scripting (eg bash) and other programming languages like python
• Knowledge in public cloud storage types and technology
• Should have awareness of complex backup architecture
• Knowledge in different type of backup mechanism like snapshot, backing in HANA, file dump, etc
• Knowledge in encryption of data is added advantage
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge to adapt and learn quickly in a changing environment
• Highly structured and organized and excellent communication skills
• High ambition, drive and focus on results and execution

Meet your team- As part of Enterprise Cloud Services, the ECS CTO Technology & Architecture team is responsible for creating, consolidating, and driving the ECS architecture roadmap across various teams under consideration of the overall SAP business target The team covers activities ranging from Pre-Sales support, Service Portfolio Management, evaluation of new solutions and technologies as candidates for future ECS deployments, engineering of new services and definition of architecture standards.
