about the role This role drives the Enterprise Data Hub (EDH) development along with application development and management of multiple use cases over and above data-lakeManages a team of highly motivated Big Data professionals to maintain reliable information systems for the data-lake, by applying the specified standards, procedures and guidelines to ensure high levels of security, usability, availability and performance of dataResponsible for overall hiring (Technical and Functional) needs of Data & Billing vertical in CMI - India Though this is an ' Individual Contribution role 'Key responsibility areas are as follows :- Develops and sets quality standards for system development and monitors all aspects of project work to ensure compliance with OBS's policies and standard operating procedures- Ensures that the technical engineering capabilities are implemented, matured, and benchmarked against world class application development units- Working to retain and hire talent across all the necessary technical streams of EDH (Application Development, Devops engineers etc.
)- Support technical teams in daily duties- Participate in technical design, development, implementation, and support of Big Data applications, using existing and emerging technology available on EDH platform- Ensure trainings for Technical teams involved in use-case implementation in EDH- Conducting security audits to identify areas of improvement- Control Technical debt- Working with developers and technical team of CMI India and multiple other verticals to build guidelines and best practices and help them working on our environment- Used JIRA & Confluence suite to maintain product backlog and sprint backlog and to create and track user stories, Sprint planning, tracking and managing sprints, created - - Scrum and Kanban boards, status reports and burn down charts- Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible about you Required Skills (must have) :.
Strong Knowledges/hands-on experience about offers and features of Big data technologies (especially Hadoop, Hortonworks) Strong experience of development using Spark Scala, Java, JavaScript, Nifi, Kafka, Hive, Hbase Strong knowledge of API development Strong knowledge of the java frameworks (Spring MVC, Spring Security) Hands-on knowledge of implementing multi-staged CI / CD with tools like AWS DevOps, Jenkins, BitBucket.
Experience in CI / CD integration within the Java / JavaScript ecosystem with build tools like Maven, Grunt, Gulp and other Devops tooling: Jenkins, , GitLab, SonarQube, GERRIT, SBT, Nexus, Docker Experience of AGILE methods (Scrum, Kanban) Active contributions to forum and dev communityRequired Skills (should have) : Knowledges about Elastic Search/Kibana (ELK) knowledge.
Knowledges about Linux, Unix, Windows environments Strong knowledge on various app monitoring tools Strong knowledge of web services (WSDL Soap, Restful) Exposure to various Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Pentaho etc.
Experience with MySQL, NoSql (MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB) Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (eg Python) and automation skills.
Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (eg.
Nagios) Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issuesadditional information Experience: Strong experience across the IT spectrum with at least 6 years in role of Big Data (Hadoop, java, spark) Analytics and Data Science programs Exposed to Big Data and Analytics latest market trends and technology in order to capitalize latest tech stack in existing product portfolio.
