High Court Delhi Recruitment For The Post Of Judicial Service Examination In Delhi

High Court Of Delhi invites online applications from eligible candidates for filling up 50 vacancies in Delhi judicial Service by holding Delhi Judicial Service Examination in two successive stages:

(i) Delhi Judicial Service Preliminary Examination (objective type with 25% negative marking) for selection for the main examination and

(ii) Delhi Judicial Service Main Examination (Written) for selection of candidates for calling for Viva voce

No of Vacancies : 50 (GN-40, SC-07, ST-03)

Eligibility : A candidate shall be eligible to appear in the examination if he / she is (a) a citizen of India (b) a person practising as an Advocate in India or a person qualified to be admitted as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961

Age : 32 Yrs as on 1st January, 2019

Pay Scale : Rs 56100-177500

Fees : The fees (non-refundable) in the sum of Rs.

1000/- for General Category candidates and Rs200/- for Scheduled Caste I Scheduled Tribe / Persons with Disabilities candidates should be paid through Debit Card / Internet Banking

The High Court of Delhi was established on 31st October 1966. Initially, the High Court of Delhi exercised jurisdiction not only over the Union Territory of Delhi, but also Himachal Pradesh. It had a Himachal Pradesh Bench at Shimla in a building called Ravenswood. The High Court of Delhi continued to exercise jurisdiction over Himachal Pradesh until the State of Himachal Pradesh Act, 1970 was enforced on 25th January 1971. The High Court of Delhi was established with four Judges. They were Chief Justice K. S. Hegde, Justice I. D. Dua, Justice H. R. Khanna and Justice S. K. Kapur. The sanctioned strength of Judges of this High Court increased from time to time. Presently, the sanctioned strength of Judges of the High Court of Delhi is 29 permanent Judges and 19 Additional Judges.
