About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics ConsultantThe candidate will be Lead Risk Analytics Consultant in this team A successful candidate will have a solid background in data analytics, reporting, understanding and utilizing Relational Databases and Data Warehouses, and be effective in querying and reporting on large and complex data sets This role will interface with the business stakeholders, data management teams, governance, and other teamsIn this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics.
Act as a subject matter expert for executive leadership on complex issues - Develop monitoring frameworks and dashboards to provide evaluation of any emerging or unexpected risk areas to enhance intelligence and facilitate faster decision making while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements
- Assess and predict risk and performance through business analysis and/or modeling Use predictive sciences for developing future ready solutions
- Contribute to or lead team's priorities in sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies In conjunction with key subject matter experts (SME), ensure all standard and new reports are accurate, complete, and produced on time.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals
- Potentially lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff Identify, research and explain changes in period-over-period trends to teammates
Required Qualifications:
- Overall 8+ years of experience, 5+ years programming experience in SQL, Teradata and/or Python
- 1+ years Agile Experience, 2+ years of experience in Data visualization and designing dashboard using Tableau, PowerBI.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in quantitative fields such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics, or computer sciences
- Knowledge of risk and regulatory compliance experience
- Experience leading a business requirements process with business partners
- Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity.
- Strong operational and execution skills, with keen attention to details
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas Ability to work independently and influence successfully within a matrix environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives.
- Ability to document processes so business partners understand the processes, assumptions, outputs, and validations, and to ensure required documentation is complete and accurate
