Job Summary Lead - Underwriting/Senior Lead - Underwriting Job Purpose 'This position is open with Bajaj Finance ltd' Design, streamline and institutionalize training content in the School of Underwriting, School of Credit Risk and School of Risk Containment Unit, Risk Analytics to reduce Risk for BFL through effective training of frontline staff Job Duties & Key Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities - 1.

Planning Understand longer term roadmap of the business Articulate & refine the larger strategy and objectives across the 3 schools (Risk Underwriting & RCU) Discuss with business stakeholders and align Articulate the annual content and learning roadmap across all 3 schools by understanding the business needs from the Annual operating plan and by gathering inputs from business leaders.

Conduct training needs identification using a skill matrix Conduct diagnostics as per requirement Collect inputs for specific training interventions through branch visits and discussions with business leaders and field team in order to ensure timely training needs analysis aligned to immediate business requirements Conduct periodic reviews with business leaders to identify hits misses new requirements etc in order to conduct course corrections and ensure business impact through learning interventions Generate ideas and provide suggestions for improving training effectiveness and efficiency 2.

Content design Collate and create material required for the learning interventions and put together the highlevel design of the training modules Ideate the best pedagogy - ILT VILT lectures case studies videos gamified learning etc - across different learning material Work with internal team as well as external partners to create the learning content including writing scripts for videos shooting videos creating decks etc Create a pool of internal content design experts through internal certification .

Get the content reviewed by business stakeholders Capture feedback and areas of improvement Build the feedback into the content Create and run rewards & recognition framework to incentivize employees to contribute real case studies from business Select the best-case studies and incorporate them into the learning content .

Design assessments for each learning module Ensure that all learning content is uploaded and correctly categorized in the online repository Stay updated and aware of any changes in business processes/ practices update learning content immediately Design and run various surveys for NPS score for various teams and stakeholders 3 Learning delivery .

Ensure that all links for respective learning modules are sent in a timely manner to employees Monitor and track to ensure that employees are going through the modules Drive delivery of classroom sessions through personally conducting sessions as well as working with the team by creating a pool of trainers certified through a TTT model Build a sustenance plan for retention and application Collect collate and publish success stories of how employees/ teams benefited from learning programs.

Evangelize learning programs to ensure high uptake Duties and Responsibilities - 4 Driving improvements Generate ideas and provide suggestions for improving training effectiveness and efficiency Monitor user activity on online sessions and use analytics to identify areas that can be improved .

Deep dive into specific cases where an employee is constantly failing an assessment Understand reasons and explore how to improve content to handle such cases Conduct research and explore how to improve the assessment methodology such as moving to adaptive assessments Explore new capabilities .

Assist the COE team in process improvements controllership cost and Productivity improvements 5 Credit Certification Board authority document periodic review and changes Periodic review of credit certification policy and framework Managing credit authority delegation process through employee life cycle .

Periodic review of authority grids Track ACM level approval authority on monthly basis Specific and targeted interventions for bottom performers - behavioral change management etc Continuous enrichment of the question banks Timely assessments and practical simulation .

Monitor Certification TAT Fresher 60 days and Experienced 45 days Credit officer Ranking linked to incentives limit upgrades and downgrades CO Limit audit and management Reporting MIS and Dashboards for controllerships 6.

Incentive payout & Rewards & Recognition Yearly Incentive policy document closure and simulation Incentive linked to CO Ran king DIY Incentive calculator Monthly refresh of CO Ranking dashboards and release to team .

Live practical to ensure clarity of understanding Review the TTD errors wrt to their classification and linking high risk errors to approval authority review Reporting MIS and Dashboards Major Challenges - Do not have all the capabilities internally so need to figure how to optimally leverage internally available tools/ capabilities versus using external vendors in order to balance costs & benefits.

Don't have clear visibility into how the people are applying their learnings in the field Multiple data sources which don't speak to each order Need for analytics in L&D .

Dynamic Risk policy Handling multiple verticals with multiple products (Business loans Salaried loans Doctor loans secured collateral loans Used car finance medical equipment etc) with multiple credit programs Ticket varies from 1 Lac to 600 Lacs Largely present in emerging markets which are single man locations making it very critical Multi product underwriting large geo distribution and hiring is mainly of freshers.

Cross functional training of Risk RCU Risk Analytics makes the role challenging Key Decisions / Dimensions - Decide on the type of content design of learning program choice of case studies etc.
