Role Skills and Responsibilities What will be in your toolkitAs an Engineer, you will form part of the Enterprise Analytics & Applied AI Tribe within EDIA Domain 10+ years of experience in software development along with experience building modern Big Data applications preferably in the Cloudera stack You place a high emphasis on Software Engineering fundamentals such as code and configuration management, CICD/Automation and automated testing You will have programming language experience with Java and preferably a secondary language such as Python 5+ years' experience in Design and implementation of Big Data technologies in an Enterprise environment (Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, Apache Kafka, NoSQL databases) and familiarity with data architecture patterns (data warehouse, data lake, streaming) Experience working on Streaming Application preferably Kafka Good understanding of shell scripting and scheduling tools like Control-M Ideally you will also have experience in the following o Working with operations, security, compliance and architecture groups to develop secure, scalable and supportable solutions o Supporting and monitoring a complex data ecosystem o Working and delivering solution in a complex enterprise environment Growth mindset with a proven ability and to solve ambiguous and complex problems Desire and ability to own and deliver outcome, we highly value people that can work autonomously Understand customer needs to make sound judgments Understanding of current state landscape and relevant technologies Ability to build and maintain relationships and influence outcomes when required Experience in leading a team of Engineers as you will be responsible for helping to develop, inspire, mentor and coach the members of your team Create a safe environment where people can learn and grow
