Job DescriptionFunctional Responsibilities1) ComplianceRegulatory Compliance:

1. Ensure effective implementation of Compliance Management Framework within the Company through timely implementation and monitoring of all regulatory requirements
2. Proactively identify and document potential areas, compliance risks and partner with business and stakeholders to formulate plans to mitigate and safeguard the organisation from regulatory non-compliance risks
3. Manage Regulatory Change Management by carrying out Impact Analysis of new laws and regulations and ensure their dissemination and implementation by the various functions
4. Monitoring of sales practice issues
5. Monitor and assess the Company's compliance status through periodic process reviews on a sample basis.
   
   
6. Build/Enhance compliance monitoring systems
7. Ensure regulatory compliance checks through Self-Assessment modules
8. Ensure conduct Compliance Risk Assessment activity
9. Review all compliance related policies and SOPs on periodic basis
10. Represent the Compliance Function in various internal and external meetings and forums
11. Build critical relationships with internal clients

Publication Review Process

1. Manage the reviewing, signoff and filing of all advertisement material
2. Review all customer communication within the regulatory framework

Product & Marketing Compliance

1. Review of Product Documentation (Policy Document) and marketing collateral

Distribution Compliance

1. Advise Distribution Teams and partners on legal and regulatory requirements and expected levels of conduct
2. Ensure carrying out of Distribution Process Reviews from the perspective of good Market Conduct and Ethical Sales Practices
3. Disseminate trainings to the Distribution Teams
4. Ensure Branch reviews from a compliance standpoint as per agreed framework

Compliance Advisory & Support

1. Provide advisory on queries from various functions.
   
   
2. Assist in drafting / reviewing of compliance communication and process

AML Compliance

1. Review AML and CFT Policy and AML Process Manual
2. Enhance systemic controls and develop systems to meet enhanced regulatory requirements
3. Ensure that Ongoing Due Diligence of policyholders is carried out by the AML Team
4. Ensure review of alerts generated through system and reporting of alerts
5. Reporting and communication to FIU-IND.
   
   

Regulatory Inspection

1. Ensure readiness of the Company from a regulatory perspective for inspections (including carrying out mock inspections, data readiness, logistical co-ordination, communication with the SPOCs with daily updates
2. Ensure timely and qualitative filing of responses on IRDAI observations

Training modules:Assist the CCO in developing training modules and ensure education of employees, business units, agents and sales intermediaries:

1. on applicable laws, regulations and compliance policies, regulatory framework and ethical business practices
2. on Code of Conduct, Ethics, Laws related to Confidentiality, Privacy and prevention of Sexual Harassment

Relationship BuildingInteract with the Regulators and compliance teams of peer companiesPosition reporting to Chief Compliance OfficerQualifications and Experience at least 3 years of experience in compliance and regulatory matters in General Insurance IndustryKey Critical 'Self-motivated, Willing to work independently, rich knowledge and experience in Insurance LawsCompetencies Procedures (Thorough with Insurance Laws and related regulations, notifications and circulars), grievance handling with regulatory viewpoint and insight.
