Manager Sox Compliance Job In Dentsu In India, Bengaluru / Bangalore

This role is part of our CCOE Financial Controls Assurance team based in Bangalore, India This role works closely with Group Controllership team & CCoEThe purpose of this role is to manage, support and drive JSOX compliance across the global Finance teams and within the business The employee will play a key role in working across regional and market teams to review and test Internal controls and develop sustainable remediation plans to address compliance deficienciesJob Title:Manager - SOX ComplianceJob Description:Key responsibilities:

• Perform business process walk-throughs, analyses, and tests of Internal Controls to assess compliance with JSOX requirements and the Company's Internal Controls Framework
• Lead and contribute to design walkthrough meetings, including documentation and conclusion of effectiveness
• Perform Test of Design and Test of operating effectiveness in line with the annual assurance cycle
• Operating effectiveness testing which includes requesting evidence, analyzing the reliability of evidence and assessing and concluding on the overall outcome.
  
  
• Prepare high quality work papers and reports to document results in accordance with company guidelines
• Keep management apprised of testing status and escalate exceptions / key issues for review
• Perform and align on findings and remediation plans with stakeholders
• Ensure deliverables are completed timely and accurately
• Identify opportunities to improve internal controls and to enhance the company's controls culture Provide professional expertise/ suggestions on financial Controls Design and Deploy, to ensure controls are appropriately designed to achieve finance objectives and mitigate the risks basis findings and deficiencies
• Conduct follow up on both open and past due internal audit and SOX observations on a regular basis
• Leverage available audit software/technology to support controls assurance work
• Build and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
• Review work of team members, providing feedback and coaching them
• Act with integrity, exercise sound judgement

You Should

• Be highly detailed oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Understand internal controls concepts and testing techniques and be able to effectively communicate test results/findings to various stakeholders and managers
• Possess strong communication skills (verbal & written) Able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, across different regions and levels
• Demonstrate high level of responsibility and commitment to the assigned activities
• Be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
• Be agile and flexible to changing needs and ad hoc requirements.
  
  
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to implement and deliver solutions

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in controllership related areas with 3+ years of audit, accounting, or SOX/JSOX compliance experience
• Qualified accountant
• Understanding of internal control concepts
