• Analyzing production processes to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to increase efficiency
• Writing, editing, and testing CNC programs using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software
• Setting up and operating CNC machines to produce parts and components to specifications
• Conceptualizing the design: The CNC Engineer then develops a concept of the tool or fixture, considering factors such as ergonomics, accessibility, and ease of use
