- You will be expected to understand the SDK Release Process and contribute to the SDK build systems and pipelines
- You will also deliver automated tests and documentation to support the adoption of our API interfaces
After 6 months+
- You will be responsible for timely releases of vSphere SDKs across various consumption end points.
- You should play an effective 'Maintainer' Role in our SDK Github repositories,
- You will be regularly evaluated on the quality of the features you create and the code you write to ensure continued advancement of your technical skills in an environment that looks to expand them
- As a member of the API-SDK infrastructure group you will be expected to work with and contribute to variety of API technologies (,), and all your deliverables must align with the group's development and deployment standards
The Work: What type of work will you be doing What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basisAs a new member of the SDK Platform Team, you will:
- Ensure quality release and maintenance ofthat includes API bindings of several VMware products- vSphere, VMware Cloud and NSX
- Code in variety of programming languages (Golang, Java, Python) and at times uses scripting languages( Groovy/Shell/Perl).
We expects you to be an expert in at least one programming language - Build tools and develop CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Gitlab) for publishing SDKs in Github
- Participate in all team scrum ceremonies
- Automate every possible tasks that make our life better
- Continuously improve the automation infrastructure and processes to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of our API bindings
- Communicate effectively with other members of the open-source community, including other contributors, maintainers, and users and also with Internal Stakeholders.
- Possess Developer Experience (DX) mindset in creating tools, processes, and experiences that make it easier and more enjoyable for developers to build and maintain complex VMware Cloud Automations
