JOB TITLE: NOC Operations ManagerDEPARTMENT: NOC 2Experience:10+ yrsJOB DESCRIPTION:Responsibilities will include:- Primarily deals with users, customers, vendors, engineers and the whole technical team- Ability to define, implement and enforce configuration management and change management policies and practices- Evaluates technical skills of the team and ensures there is an appropriate level of expertise- Provide procedural training to staff Perform performance objectives and performance reviews with all team members.
- Experience with all aspects of incident management lifecycle (logging, categorization, resolution, monitor, escalation, closure, SOP / documentation update)- Handle Major Incidents / Break-Fixes / escalations and manage support from different levels- Develop key dashboards to monitor the Performance Capacity Incidents for customer environments- Ensure that the Performance Capacity Incidents reports are created periodically and accurate and delivered on time- Ensure continual process improvement.
Requirements: NOC / Operations / TAC / Support / Planning / Engineering co-ordination and management Trouble ticket analysis, L2/L3 problem management, SLA/OLA/RCA managementShould be able to manage & resolve critical & major issues, & prepare trouble ticket, Incident reports- To work with incident managers/Problem managers for emergency, critical and major fault restoration and resolution - To work with Service manager/Service desk to update and resolve any escalations of raised towards Network if they want L2/l3 support- Develop key dashboards for transparency of reporting uptime and other metrics as identified- Manage projects and be responsible for migrating infrastructure to private/public cloud- Work with our technical project managers to seamlessly integrate new clients into our Hosting Services offerings- Work with internal teams to expand security solutions such as SIEM, Vulnerability testing, etc- Identify and review potential new services that can be added to our Hosting Services offerings and management toolset- Implement processes for monitoring/ alerting, systems maintenance and change control, and for automation opportunities- Ensure that up-to-date technical documentation exists for all services provided to our teams and take ownership for reporting- Identify root cause on severe network infrastructure issues in order to plan for future prevention and service improvements- Responsible for overseeing all administrative tasks, such as employee reviews, time sheets, expenses, etcQualifications and Expectations:- Fifteen (15) or more years of full-time related experience in Networks/Systems and Data Center Operations, to include eight (8) or more years of full-time related experience in a management role- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science,- Ability to work in a 24x7x365 department- ITIL Certification required- Network services experience is required
