All candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field (with a first class in the preceding degree) and publications in reputed peer reviewed journals. For faculty position in Communications, the candidates should hold a Ph.D degree in one of the following: Mass/Media Communications Communication Studies English Literature Language Sciences/Linguistics (preferably business language research) English Language Education (ELT) Corporate Communications or Business/Managerial Communications.

Base salary is as per guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Institute also offers opportunities to excel in other activities related to management education, including training and consulting. Candidates who have recently completed their doctoral degree should demonstrate adequate proof of their research and publication potential. Such candidates with inadequate relevant work experience would be considered only for an Assistant Professor on Contract position. Candidates with prior appropriate academic experience may also apply for Full Time Visiting Faculty positions.

For permanent position, the work experience requirement is as follows:

Professor: Minimum 10 years relevant experience, of which 4 years must be at Associate Professor level at IIMs or other peer institutes.
Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years relevant experience, of which 3 years must be at Assistant Professor level at IIMs or other peer institutes.
Assistant Professor: Minimum 3 years relevant experience (part-time work experience while doing doctoral research will not be counted).
