Oracle DBA Skills Required=================Oracle DBA core concepts from 11g to 19c, Oracle RAC Administration, Oracle ASM,RMAN, Oracle Data guard, Oracle ExaData, DB Cloning, DB Refresh,Good Knowledge in RAC Upgrade, DB Upgrade, Grid Patching, RDBMS Patching, Performance TuningGood understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and toolsGood understanding of the underlying operating systemGood knowledge of the physical database designAbility to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoringKnowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenariosGood knowledge of Oracle security managementSound knowledge of both database and system performance tuningDBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administratorsDBA should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlinesDBA should possess a sound understanding of the business=====================L2 Role & Responsibilities=============================Install, patch and maintain all Oracle softwareTune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQLApprove all production schema changesApprove changes to database designControl all migrations of Oracle schema objectsDesign and implement a backup & recovery systemImplement Oracle failover technologyMonitor the event alerts and notify to the concerned team and process the requests from the end users to level 2 and level 3 support engineersMonitor the availability of the Database events like DB availability, Instance availability and the space availability of disk drives and file systemsMonitor the Oracle Alert logs files, transaction logs and backup logsMonitor the database related activities, respond calls from the Application support and developments teamsMonitor the backups, recovery errors, respond to the request regarding the restoration of the DBMonitor the metric alerts, performance related issues like high CPU utilization, Application performance, high Memory utilization, Application tuning and Query tuningAcknowledge the request for DB stop/start, user creation and grant specific data access to user---------------------------------------------------Installation, configuration and maintain Oracle database softwareUpgrading ,migration and Patch(fix bug) oracle database softwareTroubleshooting problems regarding the databases alert, applications and development tools.

Maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures to make database available 24*7Take care of the Database design and implementationImplement and maintain strong database security policy (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)Perform database tuning ,Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL, and performance monitoring and database maintenancePerform schema refresh non-prod with production environmentsPlan database growth and changes (capacity planning)Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teamsWork with Oracle Corporation for technical supportSetup and maintain documentation and standards for future purposeDeployment of strong disaster recovery plans as per SLA (service level agreement)-------------------------------------------Routine Administrative Activities===========================Resolve incidents escalated by L1 as per the agreed SLAs and timelinesThey usually have a Run-Book which they can refer to for immediate resolutionsThey are also supposed to coordinate with any other support or dependency groups in case the incident has any linkageL2 escalates the problem to L3
