National consortium for PhD in Nursing (hereafter called as PhD Consortium) has been constituted by Indian Nursing Council (INC) in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore, under the Faculty of Nursing to promote doctoral education in various fields of Nursing

Award Of Ph.

D Degree :

The degree will be awarded Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, after the candidate successfully completes Viva-Voce examination, the Chairperson shall consolidate the recommendations for the award of PhD degree based on the following i.

The report of examiners who adjudicated the thesis ii Evaluation of the candidate’s performance in the Viva-Voce examination The Chairperson shall forward the consolidated and individual reports to the Registrar (Evaluation),Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Based on these reports the University shall award the PhD degree after the recommendations are approved by the Vice-Chancellor.



Fee : The duly filled in application form may be submitted along with DD of Rs3,000/- drawn in favour of Nodal officer, National Consortium for PhD in Nursing payable at Bangalore

Duration : A candidate should complete research work and submit the thesis to the University within five years from the date of provisional registration

Last Date of issue of admit card of entrance test from St. John’s
College of Nursing, Bangalore by post : 10 th January, 2019

Date of Entrance Test Venue: Delhi/Bangalore :20 th January 2019

Declaration of Result (after 5:30 pm) :12th February, 2019

Last Date of Admission for selected candidates :15th March 2019 upto
4:00pm

Last date of admission for waitlisted candidates: 1st April 2019 upto
4:00pm
