Must-Have** Deploying and maintaining PostgreSQL DB clusters (both internal and cloud managed) Proficient with Linux O/S Implement HA solutions Backup and recovery Knowledge of warm standby / hot standby and replication slots Setup and maintain replication.

Knowledge of data migration to PostgreSQL from other DB platforms Good-to-HaveExperience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL is required Knowledge of MongoDB, SQL on Hadoop, SYBASE, Oracle is a big plus Understands Javascript, Jquery and CSS web development is a big plus Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role Install, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL & MySQL software, implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup and recovery processes, provide system and SQL performance tuning and assist in business process integration with various data sources Fulfills user requests ranging from access control, backup, restore, refresh to non-production to performance tuning.

Provides online & on call coverage for production support and administration of MongoDB, and SQL on Hadoop Excellent communication skills Exposure to US clients in any of previous assignments/engagements Handling bridge calls Service now / CMDB management Should have exposure to more than 1 DB technology.
