The current process requires the manual orchestration of teams and microservices in order to expand into a new region With the number of services composing our products continuing to increase, it is becoming increasingly difficult to expand into even 1-2 AWS regions per year While teams enjoy the benefits of microservices individually, the lack of coordinated instantiation of services is disruptive to many teams and hinders our ability to meet business needs This requires orders of magnitude of acceleration beyond our current velocity, and automation is the only path to realizing this objective Achieving this goal will require focus and investment now, but it will :dftc: and allow our business to react quickly and deliver consistently.
RoleAs a Principal Engineer, you will build an Automation platform for region expansion and other use case like fedramp and disaster recovery You'll collaborate with triad to design, plan and build an Automation platform This role is for the Data Portability team in India - part of the Enterprise Trust group and is newly formed from the groups working on the Automation Platform They work on:-Creating a platform for hydration services end-to-end in the new AWS region-Hydration involved multiple stages CI/CD, DNS changes, Config standardization, Subscription update, Compliance test, etc -Work across cloud platforms and infrastructure services and provide an automated way to scale service readiness to be launched in various regions, viz Service Hydration, enabling faster compliance to data residency across different AWS regions.
-Collaboration/ Partnership across the Enterprise group and various Platform teams company to deliver key architecture outcomes for strategic programs You will be responsible for-Define architecture and roadmap to continuously support hyper-customer growth for Enterprise Cloud and shape the space of data management for cloud customers-Attend scrum ceremony and guide scrum technically-Execute large-scale complex projects and critical development activities and leads from the front to technical design to launch-Be a champion in the team for continually raising the technical bar and evangelizing a high technical standard-Lead code reviews & documentation as well as take on complex bug fixes, especially on high-risk problems-Transfer your depth of knowledge and share best engineering practices to improve engineering excellence-Mentor & coach extended team membersOur perks & benefitsTo support you at work and play, our include ample time off, an annual education budget, paid volunteer days, and so much more
