• Determine the most appropriate methods of dimensional control, taking advice from specialists where appropriate Ensure setting out data is controlled, and instrumentation is appropriately managed on the project
• Determine requirement for and format of as-built surveys and reports Define scope of surveys to demonstrate compliance
• Understand spatial relationships between different elements and interfaces.
  
  Review how achievable specified tolerances are and resolve with the wider project and design teams
• Manage the movement monitoring regime and action plans, ensuring both are followed diligently

• Oversee the full implementation of the McGee Quality Management System on the project
• Develop the Project Quality Plan and produce and/ or ensure that ITP's are produced, available and implemented Ensure that they fully address specification and contractual obligations.
  
  
• Establish quality record systems Ensure records are maintained in good order and are ready and available for review
• Establish a schedule of samples, mock-ups and benchmarks to be carried out, either as contractual requirements or as concluded as necessary by the wider McGee team Ensure
• SMPBs are commented on and approved by the client representative in a timely manner
• Adjudicate where the quality standard is in doubt

• Conversant in an extensive range of construction methods and practices.
  
  
• Propose and evaluate alternative methods/ practices/materials Identify potential innovations and highlight them to the senior team
• Has knowledge of outputs for a broad range of works
• Ensure effective methods are implemented for optimum outputs
• Can implement and evaluate well considered value engineering.
  
  
• Effectively communicates methodologies and construction methodologies

• 10+ yrs Relevant Experience
• Degree qualified or equivalent
• Experience in Complex civil engineering construction projects
• Comfortable with the main codes (eg BS6187; CIRIA C740; NSCS; NSSS etc) and standards used along with construction methodologies
