National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) invites application for the position Project Technical Assistant

Project: SARS-Cov-2 RT-PCR, kits distribution and sero prevalence survey

Number of Post: Two Posts, ( OBC-1 & UR-1)

Qualification: Science Graduate with DMLT with 1 year experience in collecting samples for virus isolation on RT-PCR test estimation of SARS-IgG antibodies b Covid-19

Desirable:Two years experience in Laboratory / Animal Experimentation

Nature of Duties: To Collect biological samples form suspected and estimation of IgG antibodies from serum samples clinical subjects

Consolidated Salary: Rs31,000/- per month fixed without an allowances.

Tenure: 03 months

Place of work: ICMR-NIN

Age Limit: 30 years Age relaxation is admissible as per ICMR guidelines

About Nin national Institute Of Nutrition

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a Deficiency Disease Enquiry and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged Nutrition Research Laboratories (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
