Global Quality IDS Data Engineer / Senior Data EngineerCompany Overview: Position Description:u00A0 The Global Quality Information and Data Solutions (IDS) team delivers and maintains applications that support the Global Quality Assurance and Lab organizations at Lilly This team is part of the broader Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) IDS organization that continues to transform as we look to the digital plant of the future and support manufacturing operational excellence and productivity efforts maximizing the use of technology and analytics Significant investment and usage of data and analytics in the making of medicine is occurring where capabilities from simple visualizations to predictive and prescriptive analytics and machine learning are rapidly emerging across the global manufacturing landscapeThe Global Quality IDS team works in partnership with the Global Quality business central and site representatives to define business needs and provide solutions for Manufacturing Qualityu00A0 This team is responsible for the support and solution delivery of IT tools that support the Global Quality business application portfolio, such as Track Wise, Quality Intelligence Dashboards, Cold Chain, and Notification to Management.

TrackWise is an industry leading software solution for quality management capabilitiesu00A0 Lilly uses this solution for quality management (deviation, change, observations, etc), audit and compliance, and product complaints The Global Quality business organization is on a transformation path to modernize its business applications by introducing automation/AI, digital technologies, and information management capabilities to be more productive as demand for products growA key role in the Global QLTS organization is the Senior Data Engineer positionu00A0 The Senior Data Engineer will have primary responsibility for conceptual and physical data modelling, data analysis and design, data integration, data visualizations and assist in the definition and implementation of information management capabilities for the Global Quality assets.

Basic Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of work experience in IT, solution delivery, and operations
• Data profiling skills are required to explore and understand a new source (Example: Be more domain-centric, understand the entity-relationship, understand business data and map to the relevant relationships)
• Expertise in the design, data modelling creation, security, and management of data models
• Developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
• Expertise with analytics/business intelligence solutions, including Power BI
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Performance tuning of the dashboard
• Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports using query editor and power bi DAX Ability to work with business owners to define key business requirements and convert them to technical and data specifications
• Good knowledge about PBI services and knows how to refresh reports, create apps & configure the gateway
• Proficient in making DAX query problem-solving desktops
• Expertise in transforming the data using a query editor.
  
  
• 2+ years of experience with Office 365 development utilizing PowerApps, Flow, Power BI, Teams, and SharePoint Online
• Adept in developing, publishing, and scheduling Power BI reports per business requirements
• Assist Business Process Architects in gathering business rules and requirements
• Translate business concepts/processes into a sustainable data model/data flow diagrams (understanding the data elements, cardinality, etc)
• Create and maintain data documentation/models in validation packages for the supported systems
• Partner with Business Process Architects, third party solution delivery providers, and Solution Architect to review and approve integration test scripts, and review and approve test output
• Partner with subject matter experts to deliver data visualization solutions to drive business decisions and performance monitoring
• Demonstrated interpersonal, self-management, collaboration, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Be an active learner.
