Our professionals work on transactions and business development across the globe The opportunityEY-Parthenon is part of EY's Strategy and Transaction (SaT) department This means, we support clients in developing and executing their strategy, both for private equity and corporate clients As a member of EY-Parthenon's Transaction Strategy and Execution Team ('TSE') you will be part of projects supporting energy sector clients during both, transactions and transformation journeys You will play a key role in helping the team deliver a step change in performance through topline growth, cost optimization and capital efficiency.

We help companies identify their unique 'DNA of success' maximising enterprise value whilst minimising risk and business disruption through operational and strategic initiatives Your key responsibilities

• Working with the clients :
  • Understand unit and general plant economic drivers to effectively implement optimization
  • Support advancement of the long term strategy of supported units
  • Develop economic cases for long term unit improvements/projects
  • Participate in client meetings, round tables and other external events/conferences to strengthen EY's presence and reputation in the market
• Developing a credible internal brand to become recognized within EY as subject matter expert for the energy business
• Identifies cross-sector Point of View (POV) sharing opportunities and collaborates with other domain teams on issues that cut across EY's business activities
• Working as a subject matter expert focusing on powerful insights for the Domain as an individual contributor with an expectation to mentor and coach junior members on developing distinctive insights

Key Requirements:Education:Chemical / Mechanical /Industrial engineer, with applicable process engineering work experience as detailed below MBA/Master's degree or postgraduate qualification preferable Experience:

• 12+ years of oil refining experience in planning and economics, operations and process engineering
• Experience with feedstock or product scheduling
• Experience with economic modelling or advanced scheduling software - building, maintaining and running a linear program
• Demonstrated capital project development experience or process engineering experience
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and interfacing with stakeholders and internal customers at different levels of seniority
• Collaborative and able to work well as part of a geographically dispersed multidisciplinary and multicultural project team.
  
  
• Capable of putting individual projects/initiatives into a 'big picture' context and credible experience working in a fast-moving, client-centric environment
• Proficient in English with well-structured oral and written communications skills able to explain difficult concepts in a clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools
• Comfortable with occasional travel and working flexible hours, across multiple time zones
