Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all The opportunity We are looking for an Assistant Director to lead our commercial analytics team within the commercial strategy practice The commercial strategy practice focuses on work related to commercial transformation, pricing, sales force effectiveness, marketing, and commercial readiness as part of a carve-out/integration of a business post announcement of a transaction This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor as our practice expands, and be a part of creating and executing a vision for the future in an entrepreneurial environment within a large firm Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Overall management of the commercial analytics team with ownership of business metrics and KPIs
  • Manage and oversee engagements that help our clients solve some of their most pressing commercial issues.

    Lead projects in areas such as commercial analytics, marketing analytics, commercial transformation, sales force effectiveness, trade spend management, and pricing within both deal and non-deal environments Design and implement analytics-based solutions on commercial strategy projects Drive the team to create the required project deliverables, and provide strategic insights Manage engagements, problem-solve, facilitate, ensure quality in delivery, and the overall success of engagements
  • Translate client questions into commercial analytics plans and project scopes
  • Build commercial analytics solutions to cater to the evolving market environment Design and develop a commercial analytics tookit, with packaged solutions in areas such as commercial diagnostics, pricing analytics, marketing analytics, and salesforce effectiveness.

    Drive the team to create the tool-kit and provide strategic insights Develop Point of View documents and support business development initiatives
  • Apply knowledge and expertise in B2B and B2C marketing and pricing leading practices, commercial processes, and technologies to help drive and deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Guide teams on analytics solutions leveraging tools such as Python/R, PowerBI, Alteryx Troubleshoot, spot check work, and ensure overall quality in analytics deliverables
  • Build relationships with EY offices across the globe Build strong partner networks and relationships Responsible for a high degree of GDS user satisfaction with engagement processes and work products
  • Manage a growing team of commercial analytics professionals.

    Develop internal team member capabilities Help the team members develop expertise in commercial strategy and analytics Mentor junior team members to deliver on high quality output on engagements
Job requirements To qualify, candidates must have:
  • A post graduate degree (MBA) from a top tier institution with 12-14 years of related work experience
  • Domain expertise in Commercial Strategy (eg commercial transformation, pricing, sales force effectiveness, synergy analysis, and marketing) and expertise in applying commercial analytics to drive growth strategy
  • Well versed with MS Excel & PowerPoint.

    Knowledge of Python/R Programming, SQL, Alteryx, and Power BI
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in delivering consulting projects in at least 3-4 of the following areas:
    • Commercial transformation
    • Pricing strategy
    • Commercial and pricing analytics
    • Salesforce effectiveness
    • Marketing strategy
    • Marketing analytics
    • Trade spend management
  • Should possess an understanding of the transaction life cycle, and carve-out / integration of a business post-announcement of transaction
  • Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and growing client relationships, and managing high performing teams Significant people management experience and team leadership experience in leading project teams
  • Flexibility in adapting to new challenges and ideas
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirements
