Qualification : 

1. Electronics & Comm.
   
   Engg: -  At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Communication Engg from a recognized university or equivalent

Applicants must also fulfill ONE of the following additional requirements:

GATE Qualification:- Valid GATE score in Electronics & Communication Engg [Paper code: EC] 80% aggregate marks in EQ degree if done from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or National Institute of Technology (NIT) However, this option is not applicable for GAETEC posts

2. Mechanical Engg: - At least First Class (condition of First Class does not apply to DST posts) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engg from a recognized university or equivalent

Applicants must also fulfill ONE of the following additional requirements:- 

GATE Qualification: Valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering [Paper code: ME].

80% aggregate marks in EQ degree if done from an IIT or NIT However, this option is not applicable for GAETEC posts

Age Limit  for candidates (as on closing date of advertisement)

DRDO - 28 years for UR/EWS, 31 years for OBC (Non‐creamy layer),33 years for SC/ST

DST - 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 years for OBC (Non‐creamy layer),40 years for SC/ST

ADA - 30 years for UR/EWS, 33 years for OBC (Non‐creamy layer),35 years for SC/ST

GAETEC - 28 years for UR/EWS, 31 years for OBC (Non‐creamy layer),33 years for SC/ST

Selection Process :  

i) The shortlisted candidates on the basis of the GATE scores and/or Descriptive Examination will be required to appear in the personal interview to be held at Delhi  

ii) The offer of appointment to the selected candidates will be restricted to the number of vacancies in order of merit.

  The appointment, however, will be subject to satisfying conditions like qualifying the Medical Examination prescribed for Group ‘A’ Technical posts of Govt of India with Field Service liability and verification of character antecedents besides verification of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD(HH)/PwD(OH) certificate etc, wherever applicable   

iii) Final result (customised for individual candidate) will be made available at RAC website

RAC, the Recruitment and Assessment Centre of DRDO was set up on 23 July 1985 after getting exemption from the purview of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It is situated at Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi. RAC has undertaken various recruitment programmes to induct scientists each year in variety of scientific and engineering disciplines relevant to DRDO Laboratories and assessed the suitability of DRDO scientists for promotion to next higher grade through duly constituted Assessment Boards/ Peer Committee.
